Makes you wonder how much we have thrown out that could have been our art, doesn't it? It gave me some ideas of wonderful memorabilia I have that just sits in a box - perhaps a quilt would be an expression of a time in my life I would like to keep around. Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Loved this post! It reminds me of a quilt I saw in a show a few years ago. A woman had collected odd objects that she'd found out on her early morning walks over the course of a year or so. She cleaned them up and incorporated them into a quilt with applique, little pockets, ribbon ties, etc. Unusual bottle caps, an old playing card, etc. Sounds funky, but it was truly delightful. Thanks for the reminder that we can turn almost anything into a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
