Easter Crafts for Kids To Make

Kids like to craft too. They aren’t encumbered by notions of patterns and rules – they just want to create. And with Easter around the corner, it is a perfect time to get the kids doing some crafts. Filling other people’s Easter Basket with handmade gifts is a lot of fun for the entire family.

Easter ChicksOne good way to start is to provide the Easter atmosphere. And what better way than with an Easter Tree? They are fun, easy to make, and with all of the decorations added, bring the freshness of spring and the meaning of Easter into you home.

The instructions for the Easter Tree are easy. And I have an additional hint!

If you live in an area that has tumbleweeds, go looking for one that is the right size and shape. Tumbleweeds are “prebuilt” with many branches and a great stem to put in a container. Don’t get one too bushy or large. And of course, you can always prune it back to the desired size and shape. They are everywhere right now – go grab one as it tumbles by and turn it into a holiday decoration.

After the Easter Tree is done, make some little pom-pom chicks. These two in the photo are made of purchased pom-poms that are glued together with felt for decoration. A bit of brushed on paint will give the baby rooster some color.

Families can have a great time with these crafts. And it just a start. Easter baskets, other decorations and gifts will be coming this week.
